<note>This book explores a new approach to understanding society through assemblage theory, influenced by the thinking of Gilles Deleuze. It rejects the view of society as a fixed and essential totality and asserts that social entities possess autonomy that is not entirely dependent on how humans understand them. DeLanda explains that society is formed from various assemblages, or dynamic sets of relationships, ranging from individuals, social networks, organizations, governments, cities, and nation-states. Through a discussion of the relationships between individuals, social networks, institutional organizations, and political-territorial structures, this book demonstrates that social phenomena develop through complex, constantly changing interactions. The assemblage approach is used to explain how each social entity is composed of heterogeneous components that can function flexibly without losing their identity. Assemblage theory thus offers a new conceptual framework for sociology and social geography in understanding the complexity of modern society. This book makes an important contribution to the development of contemporary social theory, particularly in the study of social ontology, social complexity, and the relationship between structure and agency within society. DeLanda's approach helps readers understand society as a dynamic, multidimensional, open system that is constantly undergoing a process of change.</note>
